Conroy Pontiac was a dealership in West Vancouver that started building modified high performance cars in 1966 and continued until 1969. Beaumont SDs were chosen as the preferred car to be stuffed with a Chevy Big Block under the hood and dubbed a " CHEETAH ". With the Cheetah package you could choose a 375hp 396ci or a L72 427ci . These cars were a very limited production of 46 made. 25 went to Conroy, St.Catharines, Ont. 21 cars stayed in BC of which 2 used 283ci version engines. All these cars could be ordered "Race Version" which means they were meant to go on the drag strip. Wonder how many of those 46 cars survive today?
